Planning Functionality

In addition to modelling user-defined mining scenarios for caving mines, Power Geotechnical’s PGCA software offers a range of functions for the planning of caving mines.

These include:

  • Specialised flow behaviours (fines migration, differential material properties, realistic rilling, angled flow, fragmentation impacts, coupled cave back modelling)
  • Shutoff modelling (instantaneous for matching grade controlled draw control systems and sample average for planning tonnage based draw control systems);
  • Reporting (by drawpoint/production ring, production period, grade element, height of draw and graphical output);
  • Visualisation (real time flow and schedule visualisation);
  • Scheduling (Editable Footprint Generator, Generate or import sequences, Sequence and Schedule tonnages, NPV analysis;
  • Batch modelling (run multiple models consecutively and automatically summarise results;
  • Optimisation (optimise production schedules for existing footprints, optimise footprint from base block model;
  • Integration of cave back dxfs (generate swell based dxfs for concept level estimations, import stress model dxfs for cave limitation in flow modelling simulations; run coupled flow/cave propagation models)
